Recently at a local high school, the kids were all asked to write down what they wanted the parent’s prayer group to pray about. But instead of prayer requests, almost all wrote down questions … questions of confusion and why, what, how! It’s probably one of the saddest set of questions I’ve seen for a long time ... some examples:

“When will my life become nice and happy again?”
“Who are you, and why do you hide from me?”
“Why don’t you reveal yourself?”
“Why do bad things happen?”
“What is existence?”

I suspect that behind all of these questions is the fact that they do not understand because they do not see God’s love around them. They see instead followers of religion spouting rhetoric from the nice house, big church, and a pollution belching SUV. It’s no wonder they ask, where is that love Christians talk about?

That is very sad, and I agree with the point you have made.
It is a terrible thing, but truly, the understanding of what Christianity is, what makes someone a Christian, and the power of God's love that outweighs the corruption of man are all very misinterpreted.

By the way, I like the composition of this, and I especially like the right side of the picture. Nicely done.

You don't have to believe this, but I love you, just the way you are. ♥

I believe Jesus Christ is my saviour.
"Jesus answered, 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'"
~ John 14:6

indeed a point we all need to remember

i really fall under this category, i have been noticing that i have forgotten about praying for others and just became concerned with my issues....

maybe this really would help....

To be the Kingdom is not to change behavior...
but to be transformed, and simply live as your new nature dictates through the Spirit

Very true! Missions is definitely needed. I heard missionaries have decreased this past year... I went to my first mission, and truly there are places that need God's love.

Thanks -- the feedback is great, it's only about the 3rd picture I've tried to draw on a tablet!

I live with a shack community of ~1million people only 2-3 miles from my front door ... it's a challenging context!

A truthful life is hard to live ... :)
:iconmordecai-pyre:
Ironically, missionaries from so-called third world nations TO 1st world nations have increased! :)
:iconpralinkova-princezna:
Good you pointed that out.
We don't have to travel to the 3rd world, we can just look around and soon will see people that don't know God yet, and to them we can be missionaries on everyday basis.
